KESSAAR

PROFILE

SIRE OF 28 WINNERS IN HIS 1ST CROP

Kessaar’s explosive winning performances in the Gr.3 Sirenia Stakes (won by 2.5 lengths) and Gr.2 Mill Reef Stakes (won by 2.5 lengths) in 2018, marked him out as being among the very best of his generation.

His sire Kodiac has made an outstanding start as a sire of sires - sons ARDAD, ADAAY, COULSTY, KODI BEAR and PRINCE OF LIR have all sired stakes winners out of their first crops to race.

Kessaar is the first son of Kodiac to stand at Tally-Ho Stud alongside his sire.

Kessaar's first crop are 3yos of 2023. He made an exceptional start with his first 2yos last year as the sire of TAJALLA, his very first runner who was an impressive winner on debut at Newmarket. So impressive was his win for Roger Varian that he was designated a 'TDN RISING STAR'.

Varian also trained the multiple stakes-placed colt BOLT ACTION, a £160,000 breezer, while Andrew Balding sent out TOSTADO to win impressively at Chester.

''We are delighted that Kessaar, one of the best two-year-olds sired by Kodiac, will be returning to Tally-Ho as a stallion. He's a good-looking, tough horse with the juvenile speed so typical of his sire and we look forward to him contributing to Kodiac's legacy''
