Clean sweep for Tally-Ho-bred Galileo Golds at Leicester

Galileo Gold was on the mark again at Leicester at Tuesday when responsible for the first two home, Battyeford Boy and Galileo Glass, in the 7f nursery. Both were bred and sold by Tally-Ho Stud.

Making his third start for Kevin Ryan, Battyeford Boy chased the leader Bonita B under Shane Gray, and ridden to lead over 1f out, kicked clear to win by a length from Galileo Glass, himself a winner last time out at Doncaster for Daryll Holland.

Owned by Roger Peel, Battyeford Boy is the second foal out of Listed winner Big Violett, a Haatef relation to Mount Nelson. He was a £27,000 purchase out of our draft at the Goffs UK Premier Sale by his owner.

Galileo Gold has made an outstanding start to his stud career as the sire of five stakes horses led by the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes hero Ebro River, Group 3 scorer Oscula and Listed winner System.
