Kodiac colt Souzak continued his progression up the ladder on Saturday with a game success over the well regarded Denmark in the valuable Haras de Bouquetot - Criterium de Arqana at Longchamp.
Having won both his last two starts for Jerome Reynier, Souzak progressed again to hold off the favourite in the 16-runner field and win a shade cosily.
Owned by Nurlan Bizakov (Sumbe), Souzak belongs to the same two-year-old crop for Kodiac as 38 other winners, among them recent Listed scorer Zarosk. He was bred by Skymarc Farm and Langlais Bloodstock out of Sounaya, a winning Nayef half-sister to German Group 2 winner Savoir Vivre.
