Nelson Gay became the latest multiple winner for Mehmas on Saturday when doubling up in the Class 4 5f handicap at Wolverhampton.
Previously successful in December at Southwell, Nelson Gay led inside the final furlong to win easily as the 15/8 favourite under Ryan Moore.
The Racing Post offered a positive analysis, saying: "Well found by the market, he had little trouble in soon adopting a stalking position from the outside stall and once his rider asked him to go past the leader, he did so with the minimum of fuss. He wasn't given a hard ride by any means and should find another handicap or two this year."
Nelson Gay was bred by Gerard Mullins out of Rublevka Star, a winning Elusive Quality mare who is also the dam of multiple winners Novoman and Philamundo.
Nelson Gay was bought by trainer Richard Hughes for £16,000 as a Goffs UK Premier Yearling.
Mehmas, whose first crop also includes the unbeaten Group 1 Middle Park Stakes winner Supremacy and easy Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes scorer Minzaal, stands for €25,000.
