'She's very fast and tough' - Listed glory for Cotai 2yo Tiger Belle

Cotai Glory fired in yet another stakes winner on Wednesday when Shamrock Thoroughbreds' two-year-old filly Tiger Belle ran out the game winner of the Listed Marwell Stakes at Naas.

Previously successful on debut at Cork for Ado McGuinness before a close fourth in the Listed Tipperary Stakes, Tiger Belle showed blazing speed on the far side and had enough in reserve to repel Storm Miami.

In the process, she became the ninth stakes winner for Cotai Glory, whose first two crops are highlighted by Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye heroine The Platinum Queen and Group 2 Prix Robert Papin scorer Atomic Force.

"Where we go next I don't know," said Ado McGuinnes. "She's black-type now and that's what matters, our job is done with her. She's very fast and she's tough but she just about gets the five."

Tiger Belle was bred by Paul Giles out of Dark Acclamation, a placed Acclamation daughter of the Listed-placed On The Dark Side. She was purchased by Con Marnane at last year's Tattersalls Ireland September Sale and resold to Shamrock Thoroughbreds at the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale.

Cotai Glory stands for €12,500.
