Two striking foals from the first crop of King Of Steel have added to a good start to foaling season.

The colt pictured below is out of Hairpin, a Bernardini half-sister to Dewhurst Stakes winner Intense Focus. She is the dam of four winners led by the Listed scorer Dadoozdart.

He is pictured at only one day old and already looks a strong, quality colt.

Here is a King Of Steel half-sister to Spycatcher, a multiple Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed for Karl Burke. Her dam Damask is a daughter of former Tally-Ho stallion Red Clubs and a half-sister to Group 1-winning 2yo Zafisio.

She is pictured at one week old and is another quality representative.

King Of Steel was a brilliant performer for Amo Racing, winning the Champion Stakes and King Edward VII Stakes having earlier run second in the Derby. He was also the wide-margin winner of his debut at two.

By the much-missed champion sire Wootton Bassett, King Of Steel is related to the Australian Group 1 sire Contributer.

“King Of Steel has been an outstanding flagbearer for AMO Racing, perfectly exemplifying the ambitions of our operation,” said Kia Joorabchian upon the horse's retirement. “I've never been more excited about a stallion, and I can't wait to see his offspring excel.”
