Fresh off a third in a competitive Galway nursery at the weekend, tough Inns Of Court filly Lia Fail returned to Sligo on Wednesday to make all in the sprint nursery.
Bounced out by Gary Carroll, Lia Fail was still going best two furlongs out and having quickened clear, was always doing enough to hold the challenge of the second Uncle Albert.
"I think she wants a bit better ground," said Michael Mulvany. "She's been busy so she's going to get a little break now. She'll have a fortnight off and you'll probably see her out again in a month's time."
Lia Fail joins the likes of Gray's Inn, Eminny, Innvincible Friend and Baileys Polka Dot as multiple winners from the first crop of Inns Of Court. Another representative, Gaenari was second in the Listed Prix de la Vallee d'Auge at Deauville on Saturday.
Lia Fail was bred by Kelly Equine Services out of Balqaa, a winning Invasor half-sister to Group 3 winner Sefri.
