Persian Force hit the ground running in the ring this week at the Goffs Premier Sale in Doncaster.

A colt out of Baroness Blixen, a Showcasing sister to the fast 2yo Show Me Show Me, was the star turn, selling out of Finn Kent's draft for £110,000 to Robson Aguiar and Amo Racing.

However, his stock also found favour with a wide range of buyers, namely trainers John and Sean Quinn, David Evans (with Bobby O'Ryan), agents Peter and Ross Doyle, Marco Bozzi and Lorries Bloodstock, pinhookers Tom Whitehead and Johnny Collins and ownership group Rabbah Bloodstock.

Peter and Ross Doyle went to £62,000 for Kilpatrick Farm's colt out of Highland Class and £55,000 for Ballyhimikin Stud's colt out of Aunt Anny. Tom Whitehead of Powerstown Stud paid £55,000 for our colt out of Suicide Squad.

In all, Persian Force returned an average of close to £45,000.

Speaking after securing the £110,000 colt, Kia Joorabchian also outlined his belief in Persian Force. The son of Mehmas carried his colours to victory in three races, including the July Stakes, and also placings in the Prix Morny, Middle Park Stakes and Phoenix Stakes.

"I’m very keen to support all my stallions and we will be supporting them, for sure,” Kia Joorabchian told reporters. “Persian Force is obviously a horse that we know. This is a very good physical and the whole team loved the horse - they called me last night and said 'you've got to come and see this Persian Force horse'. He was our target for this sale and we managed to get him so we’re very happy.

"We have a good number of mares. We have quite a few – much more than you’d think! We would’ve sent a good number to Persian Force, probably 30 [in his first season].”
