50 stakes winners for Mehmas!

Tough Mehmas colt Estepona gained a deserved stakes success on Wednesday when coming out on top in the Listed Prix Hampton at Chantilly.

In the process, he became a landmark 50th stakes winner for Mehmas.

Not far behind was Mehmas 3yo Ajfan, who ran a fine race against the older generation in third.

Estepona has kept good company for Mauricio Delcher Sanchez since winning his first two starts as a 2yo, running placed in the Group 3 Prix Sigy and Prix du Petit Couvert alongside several Listed placings.

Bred by Cuadra Mediterraneo and raced by Jose Maria Maldonado, Estepona is out of the Group-placed mare Cigalera, by Elusive City.
