Inns Of Court hit the headlines again on Tuesday when fielding the top lot at the opening session of the Tattersalls Ireland September Sale.
Ed Sackville, acting for Dance Thoroughbreds of Manor House Farm, went to €110,000 for the colt, who was bred by the Silk Fan Syndicate and sold by Mountain View Stud. A half-brother to the Group 3-placed Haikbidiac, the colt is out of Silk Fan, a winning Unfuwain half-sister to Gutaifan.
"He's a lovely stamp of a horse and a really big, strong imposing type," said Ed Sackville. "Inns Of Court is an unproven stallion but if he is anything like Tally-Ho Stud's recent first-season sires then he is going to have a very good chance of being successful.
"Invincible Spirit is a proven sire of sires and let's hope Inns Of Court is another one for him."
As was the case at the Goffs UK Premier Sale, Inns Of Court returned a 100% clearance rate, with seven out of seven of his yearlings through the ring finding new homes. In addition to the Silk Fan colt, they included a colt out of Teeline from Ridge Manor Stud who made €55,000 to Blandford Bloodstock.
Manor House Farm also went to €80,000 to secure a Mehmas filly out of Lisfannon from Grove Stud.
