13th stakes win for Kodiac's Aphelios

Top Scandinavian sprinter Aphelios continued his excellent season with a win n the Listed

Arnfinn Lunds Minneløpmade at Ovreroll on Sunday, landing his 13th stakes win in the process.

Kodiac's win machine, who is a credit to owners Hasby Vast and trainer Annike Bye Hansen, won cosily from My Fortune to bag his fourth stakes win of the year following previous successes in the Listed Pramms Memorial, Challenge Stakes and Polar Cup (his third win in the race-).

Aphelios joined current connections when bought by Walter Buick at the 2023 Autumn Horses In Training Sale.

He was particularly successful in 2025 when his wins included the Listed Pramms Memorial, Polar Cup, Bro Park Varsptint and Zawawi Cup.

Bred by Kingwood Stud, he is out of the Singspiel mare Homily.
