The first crop of Good Guess continued to make a fine impression at Goffs last week.

Led by a quartet of six-figure yearlings, our Gr.1-winning son of Kodiac returned an average of €111,715 for seven sold during the Orby Part 1 headed by a €190,000 colt out of Kosalla, the dam of Listed winner Ballymount Boy, who was sold by Ridge Manor Stud to Hill Of Allen Stud (pictured).

The BBA Ireland also went to €140,000 for a filly out of Moment Of Truth sold by Egmont Stud while MC Bloodstock came away with a colt out of Al Andalus at €130,000 out of the Coulonces Consignment.

Amo Racing, Henry Morshead/George Boughey, SackvilleDonald and Rockfield Farm also signed for yearlings by Good Guess.

It was a similar story at Part 2, where Good Guess was responsible for one of the sale highlights in a colt out of Dixie Bluebell sold by Cahermorris Stables to J Reid for €90,000.

A particularly successful sale for Mehmas was headed by the sale of our colt out of Vociferous Marina for €340,000 to the Hong Kong Jockey Club (pictured). Jason Kelly and Bond Thoroughbred Racing also paid €300,000 for Glenvale Stud's half-brother to the Gr.1-placed Kodiac colt Jash.

MV Magnier/Whitebirch, Andrew Balding and Henry Morshead/George Boughey were also among the other buyers to land Mehmas yearlings.

In all, Mehmas returned an average of €171,154 for 13 sold.

Starman's sextet of yearlings through the ring sold for an average of €132,000 and were led by a filly out of Inverse who was knocked down for €265,000 to Emmet Mullins.

Meanwhile, Amo Racing, Richard and Peter Fahey and Rabbah Bloodstock were among those to strike for Kodiac yearlings.

Persian Force was also well received, with each of his three offered during Part 1 sold for an average of €59,000. That popularity carried over into Part 2, where he was responsible for colts sold for €72,000 (to Jim Bolger), €60,000 (to Amo Racing) and €55,000 (to Karl and Kelly Burke).

Many thanks to everyone who supported us at both sales and we wish everyone the best of luck.
