'I thought she was outstanding' - more positive reaction to Good Guess at Tatts
Good Guess will have every chance of making an impact next year judging by the reaction to his first yearlings at Books 2 and 3 of the Tattersalls October Sale in Newmarket this week.
As with various earlier sales on the circuit, a number of Good Guess yearlings rewarded their breeders. At Book 2 for instance, he returned an average of close to 80,000gns with his 11 sold through the ring headed by our three-parts sister to Group 2 winner Kessaar who was bought for 145,000gns by Sir Mark Prescott and Oliver St Lawrence (pictured).

Our filly out of Desert Lantern was also well received, selling for 115,000gns to Jamie Osborne and Federic Barberini while The Forge Stables colt out of Evies Wish sold for 100,000gns to Pinnacle Racing and Robson Aguiar.
Good Guess was also to the fore at Book 3, where Mountarmstrong Stud's homebred filly out of La Reveuse was knocked down to 115,000gns to Richard Brown of Blandford Bloodstock. She was bought as a 90th birthday present for Caroline Wates - and we wish them the best of luck with her!
"I thought she was outstanding," said Richard Brown. "She looks like an absolute rocket - the strength and balance of her. She walked in and the whole ring filled up and I thought this is going to be difficult!
“I was keen to get a filly who might be early for them and she certainly looks that. I’ve liked what I’ve seen by Good Guess. He stands at somewhere that has a rich history of making stallions."
A good Book 2 sale for Mehmas was led by the sale of our filly out of Adaay To Remember for 400,000gns to Charlie Gordon-Watson on behalf of Watership Down Stud (pictured below). Shadwell also went to 325,000gns for Mountain View Stud's colt out of Lady Oak.
Kodiac was represented by five six-figure lots including our filly out of Small Oasis, who sold for 160,000gns to Highflyer Bloodstock and Phil Cunningham while Starman's draft included a filly out of Mawu who made 130,000gns to Badgers Bloodstock.
Persian Force was also well supported during Book 2 by Amo Racing, who paid 95,000gns and 50,000gns for second-crop yearlings out of Misscomplacent and Violet Warda.
Many thanks to everyone who supported us and we look forward to seeing them on the track.
