Kangyu-bred Hotline Bling lands Listed success for Cotai Glory

Hotline Bling, a member of the first crop of Cotai Glory, landed a deserved stakes success on Tuesday in the Listed Challenge Stakes at Bro Park.

Bred by Kangyu International Racing, in whose colours Cotai Glory raced, Hotline Bling made virtually all, building up a wide lead early on before powering clear for a two-length success.

It was only the four-year-old's second start for trainer Silja Stören. The well-travelled Hotline Bling also won in Britain as a two-year-old for Richard Hannon and captured last year's Norsk 2,000 Guineas for Raphael Friere having also run with credit at Meydan in Dubai.

Hotline Bling is out of the Italian Group 3-placed juvenile winner Kocna, who is out of an unraced half-sister to Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Mail The Desert.

His success maintains a hot period for Cotai Glory highlighted by three winners - Redstone Well, Lizzy's Filly and Glory Call - across the cards on Monday.
