Kodiac filly Zarinsk impressive in Listed success

Kodiac filly Zarinsk turned in a striking performance in the Listed Ballylinch Stud Irish EBF Ingabelle Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday, making all for a wide-margin success.

Successful on debut at the Curragh in May, Zarinsk had run a creditable fourth in a pair of Pattern races since then. She bounced back to winning ways in style on Saturday, bouncing out under Colin Keane to dictate the race before putting it to bed with an impressive turn of foot. At the line she had two-and-a-half lengths to spare over the favourite Library.

In the process, she becomes the 81st stakes winner for Kodiac and his second juvenile stakes winner of the season after the Listed Marygate Stakes heroine Pillow Talk. Kodiac was also represented on the Irish Champion Stakes undercard by the Boomerang Mile second Glounthaune.

Bred by Juddmonte Farms, Zarinsk is a half-sister to the classy Derevo and out of Listed winner Pavlosk, an Arch relation to Zafonic and Zamindar.
