New winner for Galileo Gold

Galileo Gold added another winner to his impressive record on Friday when Golden Duke - bred by Tally-Ho Stud - ran out the smooth winner of the nursery at Kempton.

Sent off the 11/4 favourite, Golden Duke made rapid headway down the outer under Faye McManoman and only had to be squeezed clear to win ears pricked by a length and a half for Nigel Tinkler.

Golden Duke was purchased by Aguiar Bloodstock from our draft at last year's Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale. He is a half-brother to couple of winners and out of Porta Portese, a Zamindar relation to high-class sprinter Majestic Missile.

Galileo Gold has made an outstanding start to his stud career as the sire of five stakes horses led by the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes hero Ebro River, Group 3 scorer Oscula and Listed winner System.
