'She's by the right sire isn't she?' - Starman's Orion's Belt impresses at Newmarket

Starman's excellent week continued on Saturday as Orion's Belt made all for an emphatic success in the fillies' novice at Newmarket.

Making her second start, the Richard Hannon-trained filly was bounced out by Ryan Moore and was never challenged to win by nearly four lengths. The same race was won last year by Desert Flower.

"We had a lot of time for her before she ran first time out at Salisbury but a lot of ours are coming on for their first runs," said Tony Gorman, representing Richard Hannon. "She's always been a lovely filly, she has a super temperament and she's by the right stallion isn't she?"

Orion's Belt was bred by Mareshah Stud out of the Acclamation mare Delphica.

She continues the excellent start made by Starman, who was represented only on Thursday by the G2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes heroine Venetian Sun.
