'She showed an explosive turn of foot' - another exciting stakes winner for Mehmas

While the past week has shown Persian Force in a good light, not to be outdone is his sire Mehmas, who fired in yet another stakes winner for the year when the Tally-Ho bred Mehmas Air Force captured the Listed Lanwades Stud Stakes at Bro Park on Sunday.

Trained by Lennart Reuterskiold, the three-year-old filly asserted late on to win by a length.

Per-Anders Gråberg, jockey of Mehmas Air Force, commented: “Going into the last bend I thought I might be a bit too far off, but she showed an explosive turn of foot when I asked her to pick up in the last 350m or so. She really took off.”

Mehmas Air Force was bred by us out of Air Force Amy, a winning daughter of Sixties Icon from the family of Fascinating Rock. She was sold by us at Book 2 of the 2024 Tattersalls October Sale and becomes the 12th European stakes winner of 2026 for Mehmas.
