Persian Land sprouted wings to come from the clouds and make a winning debut in the 6f novice at Haydock Park on Thursday. He is the seventh winner for Europe's leading first-crop sire Persian Force, who was also responsible for the third home Keep Kicking On.

For much of the final stages, matters appeared to rest between Keep Kicking On and Charted Course - a Tally-Ho breezer. But the penny was beginning to drop with Persian Land in behind, and he found another gear to surge past his rivals and win by just over two lengths.

Trained by Dave Evans for SW Banks, Persian Land was bred by Rockton Stud out of Demesne, a Dansili daughter of Cheshire Oaks winner Alumni.

It has been a good ten days for Persian Force, also to the fore thanks to Noble Raider, an easy winner at Doncaster, and Persian Spring, who impressed at York. Persian Force's haul of winners also includes the well-regarded Force Noir and Immortal Guard while What A Girl Wants has been Listed-placed.
