11th stakes win for Kodiac's Aphelios

Champion Scandinavian sprinter Aphelios made it 11 stakes wins when successful in the Listed Challenge Stakes at Bro Park in Scandinavia on Sunday.

Kodiac's win machine, who is a credit to owners Hasby Vast and trainer Annike Bye Hansen, won the 7f event back in 2024 and again won easily, scoring by a length-and-a-half. It was his second stakes win of the year following his success in the Listed Pramms Memorial on dirt.

Aphelios joined current connections when bought by Walter Buick at the 2023 Autumn Horses In Training Sale.

He was particularly successful in 2025 when his wins included the Listed Pramms Memorial, Polar Cup, Bro Park Varsptint and Zawawi Cup.

Bred by Kingwood Stud, he is out of the Singspiel mare Homily.
