Many thanks to everyone who supported us at the Goffs Premier Sale in Doncaster. We were delighted to end the sale as leading vendor and wish everyone the best of luck with their purchases.

Our Mehmas colt out of Tuileries Garden, dam of this year's Queen Mary Stakes runnet-up Flowerhead, topped the second day of trading when sold for £150,000 to Jason Kelly/Bond Thoroughbreds/Oldroyd/McDonald.

“He's a May foal but he's a very strong, powerful horse," Jason Kelly told reporters. "Obviously the half-sister has looked sharp and precocious this year when running to a very high level, so hopefully he'll be able to do something similar. This mare looks like she's producing strong two-year-old types.”

Speaking to the TDN, Roger O'Callaghan said; “Great sale. Goffs deserves great credit for what it has put on here over the past two days. But the Irish and English vendors could do with backing Goffs a bit better. We target this sale because it has always been good to us. We do our bit and Goffs repays us. They could do with more support.”

Mehmas was also responsible for a pair of other six-figure yearlings in our colt out of Raas, who made £120,000 to Robson Aguiar and Amo Racing, and our filly out of Guilded, who made £110,000 to JS Bloodstock.

Starman was also represented by three six-figure yearlings led by our filly out of Corazon, who joined Rabbah Bloodstock on a £130,000 bid.

Highflyer and Phil Cunningham paid £125,000 for Galbertstown Stables' filly out of Energetic Company while the Dan Astbury/Keatley Racing/Stephen Ryan partnership paid £100,000 for Monksland Stables' colt out of Heroic Heart.

Starman ended the sale with an average of £62,375 for 16 sold.

Four Cotai Glory yearlings sold for in excess of £50,000 led by our colt out of Oatmeal, for whom Karl and Kelly Burke paid £100,000.

We were also delighted with the reception towards our first-crop sire Persian Force; led by a £110,000 colt out of Baroness Blixen sold to Robson Aguiar and Amo Racing, he returned an average close to £45,000.
