Best of luck to Andrew Balding with the Exceed And Excel colt bought out of our draft through Billy Jackson-Stops for €260,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sale on Thursday.
“He is going to Andrew Balding, and for owner Michael Blencowe,” Jackson-Stops told the press. “We have waited a while to fill the order, Michael is a big supporter of Andrew’s and has a runner in the Irish 2,000 Guineas on Saturday. We have been to three breeze-up sales and not really got there, but Michael really liked this colt, and Andrew really liked this colt, too. He ticks the boxes, he is from a good consignor, he is a decent horse and has a decent pedigree.”
The colt, out of Goleta, was the highlight of a successful day for our breeze-up arm which saw the sale of 16 horses for a total of €673,000. As a result, Tally-Ho Stud was the sale’s leading vendors and we wish everyone the best of luck with their purchases.
It was also a good day for Galileo Gold, whose draft was highlighted by a colt out of Providence knocked down out of our draft for €72,000 to Michael O’Callaghan.
