Across-the-card double for Starman

It was yet another good day for Starman on Sunday as two impressive new winners came his way.

Astrazar, bred by Joseph Kennedy and fittingly trained by Ed Walker, got the ball rolling with an emphatic success at Ffos Las, scoring by over two lengths for Dubai Thoroughbred Racing, before Leading Dancer made light work of the novice at Newcastle. Leading Dancer was bred and sold by us and is yet another smart-looking Starman trained by Karl Burke, in this case for Teme Valley Racing and Austin Whelan. Burke, of course, trains Starman's Group 1 Prix Morny heroine Venetian Sun.

Venetian Sun is one of nine stakes horses from Starman's first crop. The latest arrived only on Friday in David Ward's homebred The Prettiest Star, who narrowly failed to peg back Zanthos in the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket.
