Amo Racing's Force Noir turned in an extremely impressive display to dominate the 5f maiden at Naas on Monday and become the latest winner for his young sire Persian Force.

Having been touched off in the opening 2yo race of the Irish season at the Curragh, Force Noir showed great pace under David Egan to bag the stands rail before quickening clear for a four and a quarter length success for Robson Aguiar.

He was named a 'TDN RISING STAR'.

"It was straightforward but he's such a laid back behind the bridle type of horse," said David Egan. "He stuck to his task at the Curragh the last day, he was unlucky not to win.

"He's by Persian Force, so today is very important. There's some nice individuals there [by him] and plenty more unraced ones to to unleash, which is exciting. He's a stallion who will make a name for himself this year.

"This lad, the fact he ran at the Curragh [in a race previously won by Buccanero Fuerte, Arizona Blaze and Power Blue] showed how much high regard Robson holds this horse in. He has a perfect constitution - he's such a laid back horse."

Robson Aguiar was looking ahead to the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot.

"He ran well the first day, when he showed a bit of greenness," he said. "He' s improved since and I'd say he's going to improve again.

"The Persian Forces put their heads down and run. Now they are starting to win and I'm very happy for the stallion. Force Noir can run over five and can step up to six as well. I liked his attitude."

He added: "We'll see how he is after today and maybe he could come back next week for the [Listed] First Flier at the Curragh. We could maybe save him for the [G2] Norfolk in [Royal] Ascot. The [G3] Marble Hill is another option if he doesn't go to the First Flier."

Force Noir was a €130,000 purchase by Amo Racing out of our draft at last year's Goffs Orby Sale.

Bred by John Martin McLoughney, he is out of the Royal Applause mare Princess Rose, also the dam of Listed winner Andromaca.
