Another day, another exciting first-crop winner for Starman.
Sent off at 80/1 the Jim Boyle-trained Into The Sky ran them ragged on debut at Newbury, winning the extended 6f event by 7 1/2 lengths.
To underline how impressive the performance was, the race appeared to be on paper a typically competitive novice for the track; the second Dark Shore had already been placed while 18 lengths behind in fourth was Godolphin's 6/4 favourite Leone Alato, who had been third on debut at Newmarket.
Into The Sky was bred by Pier House Stud out of the stakes-placed Kodiac mare Kemble and was sold to Peter and Ross Doyle at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Sale. He races for Pamela Wilson, Roland Stanbridge and partners.
