The winners continue to come thick and fast for Starman. Just a few days on from The Prettiest Star's impressive debut win at Nottingham, it was the turn of another Whatton Manor Stud graduate by the sire to shine on Monday in Piscean Star, who made a striking winning debut at Kempton.

Partnered by Hector Crouch, Piscean Star justified market support for Ed Dunlop to score by a neck from Alkumatic Sam with the pair nearly five lengths clear of the third.

It was a fitting result given that Piscean Star was bred by Robert Cornelius and Whatton Manor Stud, the farm who raised Starman on behalf of David Ward - whose first runner by the sire, The Prettiest Star, looks a smart performer in the making judging on her Nottingham win on Thursday.

Piscean Star is a half-brother to the Listed--placed pair Desert Haze and Quick Change and out of the Iron Mask mare Ensemble, a half-sister to champion Occupandiste.

The year's dominant first-crop sire, Starman already boasts an impressive roll call of winners.

The unbeaten Venetian Sun has Group 1 aspirations for Karl Burke after wins in the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge and Group 3 Albany Stakes. Tally-Ho homebred Lady Iman was also the recent impressive winner of the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes, Green Sense defeated colts in the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin while North Coast romped in the Group 3 Tyros Stakes.
