Balantina wins Tally-Ho maiden

Many congratulations to the connections of Balantina, who made all to win the Tally Ho Stud Irish EBF Maiden at the Curragh on Sunday.

The daughter of Ten Sovereigns races in the colours of Steve Weston and Reeves Thoroughbred Racing and is trained by Donnacha O’Brien. She was bred by Lynch Bages, Summerhill and Camas Park out of the Montjeu mare Balankiyla, also the dam of Group 3 winner Baiykara

The race boasts an excellent history, having been won in recent years by the likes of Albigna, Zarinsk, Matrika and Heaven’s Gate. Plans call for Balantina to try and follow suit by heading to the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.
