Classy Kodiac mare Circe gained a deserved stakes success on Saturday when taking the Listed Edinburgh Gin Queen Of Scots British EBF Fillies' Stakes at Musselburgh.
Sent off at 4/1, the Richard Hannon-trained mare kept on well under Callum Rodriguez to score by just over a length and bag her sixth win overall.
Effective from 6f to a mile, Circe now boasts earnings of about £130,000 for Pineapple Stud and Miss C Douglas.
Circe was bred by McCracken Farms - also breeder of Kodiac's G1-winning son Best Solution among many others - out of North East Moon, a Sea The Moon half-sister to Group 1 winner Prince Bishop.
Her win came on the same card that another tough Kodiac mare, Royalty Bay, won the Edinburgh Gin Classic Handicap. It was the third win for Seb Spencer's mare, who was bred by Luke and Adam Morgan and sold through our draft at the 2023 Goffs UK Premier Sale.
