Game Mutahamisa continues to Mehmas' good run

Another day, another winner for Mehmas. A day after Drish Venture had doubled up at Dundalk, it was the turn of his daughter Mutahamisa, who showed a game attitude to defy top weight against the colts in the 7f handicap at Lingfield Park.

The Roger Varian-trained filly scored at Kempton last December and later ran second to Fayathaan, also by Mehmas, at Lingfield Park.

On this occasion, Mutahamisa swept into the lead at the top of the straight and outbattled River Wharfe to win by a head, with the pair well clear of the third.

One of 57 first-crop winners for Mehmas, Mutahamisa was bred in Ireland by Cn Farm Ltd out of Il Palazzo, a daughter of Giant's Causeway who also the dam of Listed winner Still Standing. She was bought for 42,000gns by Corbin Blumberg as a foal and resold for 75,000gns to Roger Varian/Ebonos as a Tattersalls October Book 1 yearling.
