Tally-Ho bred Seagulls Eleven took his earnings past the £200,000 barrier for Hugo Palmer with an all-the-way win in the Listed Prix de Montretout at ParisLongchamp.

By our former resident Galileo Gold, the flashy chestnut was never challenged to win easily by two lengths. It was a fourth win for Seagulls Eleven, whose previous career highlight came last summer when successful in the Group 3 Thoroughbred Stakes.

"That was very pleasing," said Hugo Palmer. "The horse was the favourite and had every reason to win, but I think he asserted himself with real authority. I just told the owners that it was perhaps the best performance of his career. What's nice is that throughout his career he has consistently shown himself to be quite focused.

"He seems to have matured now. Christophe [Soumillon] said that he was very mature and concentrated on his task.

“He’s entered in the Group 3 at Chantilly (Prix Bertrand du Breuil) over the Diane weekend, but three Channel crossings could be quite taxing. We’ll just see how he recovers from that race. I think the Summer Mile Stakes at Ascot – which is run on the winding track and often attracts a small field – could suit him. I’m also going to enter him in the Sussex Stakes, which will obviously be a very competitive race, but probably with few runners. He’s already won at Goodwood, and the purse is substantial, while the Celebration Mile [also at Goodwood] also often attracts a small field. He could then return for the Moulin de Longchamp, as he’s shown he likes that Parisian track. And he handles all types of ground."

Seagulls Eleven was bred by us out of the Kodiac mare Thrilled, also dam of the Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye winner The Platinum Queen. He was bought by Ed Sackville and Hugo Palmer out of our draft at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Sale.

Many congratulations to owners Two Plus Three Plus Four.
