"He'll go to Royal Ascot after that" - another impressive 2yo winner for Cotai Glory

Already responsible for the impressive 2yo winners Miami Girl and Cosmic Invasion in the past week, Cotai Glory was on the mark yet again on Thursday as the sire of easy novice scorer Democracy Dilemma.

The David Evans-trained colt made all the running to win the competitive event - once won by Mehmas - under George Downing by almost four lengths.

"I've always liked Democracy Dilemma," said Evans. "He showed a good turn of foot there and I reckon he'll go to Royal Ascot over the five furlongs after that. There might be something before Ascot, but we'll probably have a day out there."

Following that success, Cotai Glory now sits at the top of the European leading 2yo sires' list by prize-money. He is also the joint leader in terms of winners with four.

Democracy Dilemma was bred by Mountarmstrong Stud out of the Listed-placed Majestic Alexander, a daughter of Bushranger who is also dam of the Group 3-placed Angel Alexander and Listed-placed pair Mighty Spirit and Little Earl.

Cotai Glory, last season's champion first-crop sire, stands for €8,500.
