Europe's leading first-crop sire Starman fired in yet another winner on Sunday to cap an outstanding week.
The 2yo in question on Sunday was Star Of Sapphire, who landed her second start, the 6f maiden at Navan, by three lengths for Noel Meade.
She joins Venetian Sun, who maintained her unbeaten record in the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket, and fellow maiden/novice scorers Orion's Belt (Newmarket), Stardinia (Catterick) and Quiet Mutiny (Fairyhouse) as winners from the past week for Starman.
"I thought it would take a fair one to beat this even the way she went down," said jockey Shane Foley. "She jumped the gates really smart, but there was a strong headwind so I didn't want to be doing the donkey work with her and got her back in amongst them.
"She picked up well and went to the line well.
"She gave me a nice feel - now I know the opposition mightn't have been strong, but she's not a bad filly I'd say."
Star Of Sapphire was bred by Colm McEvoy out of the Lawman mare Wall Of Sapphire.
