Kodiac's Hi Royal stars in Bahrain

Hi Royal, a former high-class European flagbearer for Kodiac, capped a successful season in Bahrain on Friday with an easy win in the Bahrain Gold Cup, a local Grade 1.

Now in the colours Al Mohamediya Racing, the 6yo scored under Neil Callan by two-and-a-half lengths from the Kodi Bear 4yo Refreshment to take his earnings past the £300,000 mark.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock, Hi Royal is out of the Group 1-winning mare Majestic Roi. He was a leading performer for Kodiac back in 2023, notably when second in the 2,000 Guineas for Kevin Ryan.
