Many thanks to everyone who supported us at the Tattersalls Ireland September Sale - hopefully there will be a lot of winners among them!
It was great to see Mehmas lead the way thanks to a lovely filly out of Show Me Off, who was sold by Castledillon Stud for €180,000 to Jaber Abdullah, Rabbah Bloodstock. Bred by Heytesbury Investments, the filly is a half-sister to the stakes-placed American Lady.
Jaber Abdullah already has one smart Mehmas filly in his colours in the recent Listed Harry Rosebery Stakes winner Star Of Mehmas.
"Mr Abdullah has a lovely Mehmas filly called Star Of Mehmas, who broke the track record when winning the Harry Rosebery Stakes at Ayr,” said manager David Ryan. “She is a super filly and we have great plans for her. This is one of the nicest fillies in the sale.”
Starman again caught the imagination as the sire of two six-figure lots in a filly out of Tschierschen who also fell the way of Rabbah Bloodstock, this time for €120,000. Offered by Baroda Stud, she was bred by the China Horse Club and is a half-sister to the smart
"We like the pedigree, she is a nice individual, vetted well and is by Starman, whose stock looks very promising,” said David Ryan.
Keatley Racing also went to €100,000 for our Starman colt out of Marriage Material.
Kodiac and Cotai Glory were also represented by €70,000 colts.
