New 2yo debut scorer for Kodiac

Kodiac, the only stallion to break the £1 million barrier by two-year-old earnings in Europe this year, was on the mark again on Monday as the sire of impressive Wolverhampton debut scorer Radrizzani.

Partnered by Daniel Tudhope, the David O'Meara-trained filly made striking progress from the rear of the field to take up the running and win with something in hand from the favourite Batraan.

Radrizzani becomes the 45th 2yo winner of the year for Kodiac, who boasts close to £1.2 million in juvenile earnings for 2020. The tally includes no fewer than nine stakes winners - an European record.

Radrizzani carries the colours of her breeder Highbank Stud, who bred the filly out of the high-class Dhanyata. By former Tally-Ho resident Danetime, Dhanyata was a Group 3-winning 2yo who went on to run second in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes.
