Starman was well represented across Europe on Saturday as Antiqua Mare landed the Listed Premio d'Estate - Memorial Arturo Brambilla at Milan and David Ward's homebred Hallo Spaceboy looked a 3yo to follow with an impressive success at York.

Antiqua Mare relished the fast ground at Milan to win well by a length-and-a-half for Stefano Botti and become the eighth first-crop scorer for Starman. Bred by Derek Smullen out of the Canford Cliffs mare Sea Of Antiquity, he was sold by us on behalf of Windtown House Stud to Valfredo Valiani at the Goffs Orby 2 Sale.

"Antiqua Mare is a fast ground miler," said Botti following the race. "He is a good strong colt, a reliable miler."

Meanwhile at York, Hallo Spaceboy looked a smart prospect in the making for Starman's former connections - David Ward and Ed Walker - when taking the 6f handicap under Oisin Murphy. Another Starman colt, Mr Noble, ran well for Karl Burke in third.

"Hallo Spaceboy is a lovely horse who'll be very comfortable back over five furlongs," said Oisin Murphy. "He's by Starman and hopefully he'll keep on going through the ranks."
