Europe's leading first-crop sire Persian Force fired in another winner on Tuesday as Treasurer broke his maiden for Charlie Fellows at Salisbury.

Appropriately carrying the colours of Persian Force's owner Amo Racing, Treasurer lined up following a creditable run in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. He was always prominent in the hands of David Egan and showed a good, straightforward attitude to fend off the challengers led by the Mehmas youngster Harry Knows in second.

Treasurer was bred by Ballybin Stud and Patrick F Kelly out of Laureldean Lady, a Statue Of Liberty mare whose winners also include the Listed scorer Lorelei Rock.

He becomes the 12th winner for Persian Force. Other high-class prospects include the Group 3-placed Immortal Guard, Listed-placed What A Girl Wants and Saturday's wide-margin York scorer Sirocco Sands.
