Persian Spring announced himself as another Royal Ascot prospect for his exciting young sire Persian Force when the impressive winner of the 6f novice at York's Dante meeting on Thursday.
Appropriately trained by Persian Force's handler Richard Hannon, Persian Spring was always travelling well for Jamie Spencer and quickened clear when asked for a length score. He was subsequently introduced into the betting for both the Coventry (33/1) and Norfolk Stakes (25/1) at Royal Ascot.

"The draw was a little bit tricky as I was always trying to edge to the far rail but luckily I was able to get across without doing too much," said Jamie Spencer.
"Persian Spring is a fast horse and six furlongs would be as far as he'll want to go, dropping back to five wouldn't be a problem."
Owned by Mrs Fitri Hay, Persian Spring was bought through Dermot Farrington as a Tattersalls October Book 2 yearling. He was bred by Michael O'Mahony out of the Zamindar mare Darwell, also dam of Mehmas' Group 3 winner Beauty Inspire.
Persian Spring joins the stakes-placed What A Girl Wants and recent impressive winners Force Noir, Immortal Guard and Lady Blanche as exciting prospects for Persian Force, who reigns as Europe's leading first-crop sire.
