Quick double sets Mehmas on his way in 2021

Mehmas has wasted little time in making his presence felt in 2021 with a quick fire double setting him on his way.

Fresh from firing in his fifth stakes winner courtesy of Quattroelle in the Blue Norther Stakes, Mehmas was represented on Monday by Lingfield nursery scorer Fayathaan. Now trained by Mark Loughnane, Fayathaan got the better of Mutahamisa to lead home a one-two for his sire with the pair well clear of the third.

Dual winner Fayathaan was bred by Ghs Bloodstock and Tally-Ho Stud out of Beauty Of The Sea, an Elusive Quality daughter of high-class 2yo Raymi Coya.

Meanwhile at Kocaeli in Turkey, Angel Of Honour broke her maiden to become the 57th individual winner for Mehmas.

Angel Of Honour was bred by Muhammet Huseyin Hamedi out of Cancan Katy, a Canford Cliffs half-sister to the Group/Graded stakes winners Mister Impatience and Tottie.

With five stakes winners, including the unbeaten Group 1 hero Supremacy, leading the way, Mehmas will stand for €25,000 this season.
