Sixth Listed success for Kodiac's Aphelios

Kodiac's champion Scandinavian sprinter Aphelios added another string to his bow for Annike Bye Hansen with a Listed success in the Pramms Memorial on the dirt at Jagersro on Sunday.

He tracked the favourite Twirling Ghost until the final furlong and then asserted in the closing stages to win by a length and a quarter.

It was the sixth Listed win within the year for Aphelios, who joined owners Hasby Vast when bought by Walter Buick at the 2023 Autumn Horses In Training Sale. Bred by Kingwood Stud, he is out of the Singspiel mare Homily.

He completed an across-the-card stakes double for Kodiac following the victory of Babouche in the Group 3 Lacken Stakes at Naas.
