Starman's rapid start to his stud career shifted to Italy on Sunday when Moonage Daydream captured the Premio Walter Dainotto at Milan.
Trained by Stefano Botti, Moonage Daydream bravely fought off the runner-up Bright Filly to win well with the pair well clear of the third. In the process, she recorded a time (1:11.10) faster than the colts in the equivalent race.
Moonage Daydream was bred by Pier House Stud out of Hello Bangkok, a Tamayuz sister to the Listed winner Fadhaayil and half-sister to stakes scorers Athenian, Zipzip and Cold Stare.
Her win caps a great week for Starman that began with the impressive win of our homebred Lady Iman in the Listed First Flier Stakes at the Curragh on Monday. Starman's first crop also includes Curragh debut winner Green Sense.
