With a rating of 114 on the 2yo Classifications, Starman's brilliant daughter Venetian Sun was crowned the leading British-trained 2yo filly of 2025.
The Tally-Ho bred, who was bought from us as a yearling by owners Tony Bloom and Ian McAleavy through Todd Investments, was trained by Karl Burke to defeat the colts in the Group 1 Prix Morny having previously landed the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes and Group 3 Albany Stakes.
Out of the Iffraaj mare Johara, she is one of 11 stakes horses from the first crop of Starman, who is book full for 2026.

Fellow Tally-Ho bred Wise Approach - by Mehmas - was awarded a rating of 115 following a successful season for Godolphin that culminated with a win in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes. He was the second winner of the Middle Park for his dam Sagely, whose first foal Perfect Power won the race in 2021.
Both Venetian Sun and Wise Approach were sold by us at Book 1 of the 2024 Tattersalls October Sale.

Future Tally-Ho stallion Zavateri was also highly-rated on a mark of 118 to make him the second leading British-trained 2yo of 2025 behind Gewan. The Without Parole colt was saddled by Eve Johnson Houghton to win the Group 1 National Stakes, Group 2 Vintage Stakes and Group 2 July Stakes.
He will join Tally-Ho Stud at the end of his racing career.
