"We'll have fun with him" - Windsor scorer Keep Kicking On is Persian Force's latest winner

Persian Force's run of success continued in style on Monday as Keep Kicking On captured the 6f nursery for Clive Cox at Windsor.

Paul and Clare Rooney's colt had to fight for a gap in the closing stages but more than held his own to work his way through and win cosily from the favourite Regal Tiger.

"When I got half a sniff of a gap he went on and got brave," said jockey Rossa Ryan. "I think he can stay ahead of the handicapper for a little while.

"He loved that ground. The penny is dropping - it's starting to come together.

"I can see this lad being very decent somewhere like Chester because he's got a turn of foot that can get you out of trouble and he seemed to thrive going through that gap. We'll have fun with him for sure."

Clive Cox added: "This fella has been running well and he's done well to win his nursery there."

Keep Kicking On joins a list of winners for Europe's leading first-crop sire Persian Force that includes the Group-placed Immortal Guard and Listed-placed What A Girl Wants.

He was bred by M & M Butler out of Pavlopetri, by Danehill Dancer.
