110,000gns Mehmas colt at good Tattersalls Somerville

Best of luck to everyone who purchased at the Tattersalls Somerville Sale in Newmarket on Tuesday. We were delighted to end the sale as leading vendor by aggregate and look forward to seeing what each yearling might achieve on the racecourse.

It was another good sale for Mehmas, who was the sire of our colt out of Get Up And Dance. He made 110,000gns to Oliver St Lawrence, also the purchaser of his two-year-old half-brother Seven Questions last year; he is now a three-time winner and was recently Listed-placed for George Scott.

“He’s an obvious horse for us with Seven Questions,” said St Lawrence. “I imagine George Scott would like him - we’ll take him back and see where he goes. He’s a good, solid colt. We’ve had luck with Mehmas and then there’s the two-year-old as well.”

Hamish Macauley and Amo Racing also went to 78,000gns for our Kodiac colt out of Key To Power.
