The sensational run enjoyed by Mehmas continued on Sunday as Nelson Gay landed a deserved success at Southwell to become his sire's 5th winner of the week and 55th overall.
With that win in the bag, Mehmas pulls into a clear second behind Kodiac among the top 2yo sires of all time - Kodiac set a record of 61 2yo winners in 2017. Behind Mehmas are the Japanese giants Deep Impact (54 2yo winners in 2017) and Sunday Silence (51 2yo winners in 2004).
