Kodiac's good start to 2021 continued in great style on Sunday when his son Medahim landed the Listed HH The President Cup at Abu Dhabi.
A triple winner in Britain when trained by Richard Hannon, including in competitive handicap company during Newmarket's July meeting, Medahim has run with credit since his switch to Satish Seemar, notably when Listed-placed back in December.
On this occasion, the seven-year-old made progress to hit the front a furlong out and run on well to win by a length-and-a-half from Moqtarreb.
Medahim was bred in Ireland by Paul McEnery out of Novel Fun, a Noverre half-sister to the Group 3-winning two-year-old Hunan.
He becomes the 66th stakes winner for Kodiac, who is standing for €65,000.
