Knight named TDN Rising Star; half-sister sells at Goffs Orby

Knight, bred and sold by Tally-Ho Stud, made an extremely impressive winning debut on Sunday to highlight the action at Yarmouth. Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford on behalf of KHK Racing, the Mehmas colt quickened to into the lead just under two furlongs out and despite running green, scampered clear for an easy success and TDN Rising Star honours.

His half-sister by Cotai Glory sells as Lot 459 at this week's Goffs Orby Sale (pictured below).

“They went quite steady and the leader took me as far as he could, but ideally I needed something to take me further as he's still quite raw,” said jockey Cameron Noble. “He's a nice individual. He could be anything – he did that smartly considering he is quite green.”

Knight was sold by us to Stroud Coleman Bloodstock at Book 2 of last year's Tattersalls October Sale. He is out of Fidaaha, a New Approach half-sister to Group 3 winners Steip Amach and Ceisteach from the family of Shergar, and therefore a brother to Malavath, winner of the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte and Prix Imprudence.
