Kodiac filly looks smart at Kempton

Progeny of Kodiac dominated the first division of the 7f maiden at Kempton Park on Wednesday.

Bakr, making her debut for James Ferguson, ran out the impressive two-and-a-half length winner over Leisurewear, another daughter of Kodiac trained by Martyn Meade.

It was only the second start for Bakr, who was bred by Shadwell Estate Company out of the Group 3-placed Qawaasem. She is a full-sister to the winning Nubough.

Also on Wednesday, Tally-Ho graduate Delightful Laos won for the fourth time at Happy Valley in Hong Kong. Formerly known as Now The King, the son of Baltic King was sold by Tally-Ho Stud for €50,000 as a Goresbridge breezer.
