Cotai Glory fired in another first-crop winner on Saturday when Hotline Bling justified favouritism in the 5f novice at Thirsk.
The Richard Hannon-trained colt travelled well for Sean Levey and was always doing enough to hold the runner-up Wee Loch Lass in the 11-runner affair.
Appropriately Hotline Bling was bred by Cotai Glory's owners Kangyu International Racing. Owned by Amo Racing, the 45,000gns yearling is out of Italian 1,000 Guineas 3rd Kocna, an Aussie Rules relation to top 2yo Mail The Desert.
Also at Thirsk on Saturday, Elvrika ran out the authoritative winner of her maiden to become the latest winner for Kodiac. It was third time lucky for the filly, who had been placed on both her previous starts. She was bred by Lissglen Bloodstock out of Villa Royale, a winning daughter of Val Royal from a good family.
