Mehmas was back in the news again on Sunday when his two-year-old daughter Amorevole captured the Listed Premio Ubaldo Pandolfi at Rome.
The filly, bred by Con Marnane out of the Rio De La Plata mare Creme De Cremes, becomes the 24th stakes winner for her sire and his 50th stakes performer overall.
Carrying the colours of Scuderia Incolinx and Diego Romeo, Amorevale scored in cosy style over Royal Grey in second with the Inns Of Court filly Vicuna in third; she becomes her sire's fourth first-crop stakes performer.
Also on Sunday, Inns Of Court fired in another maiden courtesy of Goreai in a maiden at Chilivani. Owned by Scuderia Gusana, the colt was bred by Grace Monahan out of Abelia, by Choisir.
